just looked Alistair and your right the seat will pivot over what there is of a little shelf that the L322 has...you would have to attach the velcros slightly below that onto the vertical part .. ... - .- -.

isn't it ironic how you will get soaked running from the door to the trunk to get the umbrella Laughing

i've had more thoughts on this and methinks this could be mounted just under the rear seats instead of the parcel shelf...

I'm racking whats left of my brains to think of the car that had an umbrella holder in the drivers door jamb, I have an inkling it was one of the cars built by Bristol but cant think which one it was!

Chap at the stables we used to go to in Wiltshire had a Bristol 408, absolutely beautifully built car!!

Thats the one!!!
Still like Bristols though!! (the cars that is Laughing )

I'm sure one of the FFRR membership could come up with a way to drill a hole in the doors of a Full Fat and stick an umbrella in it!

I purchased these off Ebay and fitted them to the upper tailgate with double sided pads supplied. That way I always have it in the RR and totally out of the way

Porsche sell one that fits in the little cubby in the sill/threshold plate .
We have one in the boxster .
I'd have to take a look to see if there's room to modify the rover sill plate to fit one , but at the end of the day it's a tiny little umbrella that would possibly fit in the door pocket Laughing

We recently bought a bundle extendable golf umbrellas (a couple per car) from an Ebay seller.

When folded, they are half the length of a standard size golf umbrella but have to same canopy size when open.

Not this colour combination but the same make http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Green-Black-58-I...SwQiRUly12 They are surprisingly sturdy and the best part is, they are much easier to stow.

Meant to do this a while back after reading this thread.

Not trying to be the cheapest on the idea front but this has cost virtually zero and works so I am happy.

One wide piece of velcro cut into two strips threaded under the rear moveable flap thingy (that is the technical term I will have you know) holds the brolly and shooting stick nicely in place - no drilling or anything that can't be removed easily.
