L322 Which side steps?

I need to add side steps to make it easier for my children to climb into the car.

Can anyone recommend me some steps? Only conditions are these must be fixed and black, I don't like the ones with the silver strips on the outer edge. Are there an OEM ones without the silver strip? My car is a 2012 Vogue...

Thanks

When you say "the ones with the silver strip" i imagine you mean the ones with the built in mud flap at the front?

These were the original option ones, genuine are just stupid money but the Britpart version can be had for about £150 if you shop around. They're the same quality.

The silver strip is painted plastic, it's easily resprayed to a colour of your choice - gloss black for example. An aerosol should be enough to do both sides.

It's hard to know which are the OEM ones as there are so many versions out there!

It looks like the Britpart ones have the silver strip I'd like to avoid (and I's rather not spray they are they'll only get scratched).

These look like they may do the job: http://www.sidesteps.co.uk/shop/side-steps...ide-steps/

They're the pattern (Britpart) version of the OE ones. The plastic will likely only be painted black, the same as when they are painted silver. So whether you paint them or someone else does there is still a risk of them getting scratched. They're only likely to get scratched (or broken) from underneath, ie if you ground them on something.

i found the silver version on ebay for £130. So it just depends how much your time is worth to you. Smile
