You may find your sunroof has lost its "home position" next time you use it. Hold the close direction for 15 seconds to re-initialise it.

God how I love my basic SE....no sunroof so one item less (of the many many many things) to worry about Thumbs Up

By that logic perhaps you should have a Defender? They have no equipment to break!

Someone step in if I'm wrong but I'm sure I was told that the negative lead has an explosive charge on it to disconnect the electrics in case of impact. If not, I'm possibly confusing it with something else but if so, be ****** careful!! Shocked

It's not a hand grenade! Rolling with laughter (2 nerdly engineers having a conversation during vehicle development: We'll detonate the battery and make sure there is no power left to cause a fire...) Rolling with laughter

If it went off, you'd hear a 'pop' and the terminal would jerk in your hand. That would be about it. On the + terminal, BTW (as Joe already said).

Just changed the battery on mine & went for the Bosch 110AH one from Euro Car Parts!

Whole process took about 40 mins, incl waiting for everything to shut down.

Now I have the "Air Suspension Inactive" warning although it all works fine???

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks! Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Try turning the steering full lock to lock- either that or driving for 5-10 minutes should also clear it.

Thanks, did the steering thing, but nothing noticeable happened - do I just go from centre to Left full then Right full? Should I see some lights or hear some beeps etc?

Am popping out in about 1 hr so will see what happens then! Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

turning the steering from left to right only sets the steering parameters...hopefully the error will go out once the suspension goes up and down a few times... ... - .- -.

The steering parameters are for the DSC and if there is a "fault" with the DSC then the EAS locks in "lower than standard" height. Not being able to tell which way the steering is turning is classed as a fault...

So turn lock to lock, then the DSC light will go out. Then once thats gone out a cycle of the ignition "should" clear the EAS warning.
