United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Td6 Vogue Auto Tonga Green
Driven: RRTD6 with PSi box upgrade

Driven: FFRR TD6 with PSi box upgrade

Ok, so in less than one week mine is going into JE Engineering to have the Stage One tune done on it, upping the BHP by 40 (an increase of a whopping 23% overall) and many more NM's of Torque (About 94 I think)

My friend at work who also has a green FFRR TD6 Vogue had a PSi box put in it and I took it for a spin last week. I have to say that unless the newer version (mine) is slightly faster than the original diesel engines back on 2002, it did not seem any quicker and certainly not any smoother to drive. The delivery of the power had changed slightly but as the bloke who fitted his box would not commit to how much power increase he may find from the fitting of it, I am suspicious these boxes do any good at all.

The one upshot of this is he has found that his economy has increased from about 24mpg to 29mpg on a run, and he calculated that the old fashioned way and not using his on board computer.

My advice if you're thinking of getting a PSi box on the cheap...save your money and don't bother. Thumbs Up

Turbochip do an upgrade for TD6 the power is +58 bhp and 140nm of torque with very good economy and makes the car a great drive. the difference is remarkable. all done by reprogramming the ECU. they have done over 400 of them in the last year or so.
