13 mm bulkhead nut

I've had to remove the battery today to recharge it and I have misplaced the '13mm' nut that secures part of the positive lead to the bulkhead.
Although the socket used to remove the nut had 13mm on it what is the actual size of the thread? Does 13mm refer to the hex head size or the thread size?

I've looked on the screw fix and machine mart websites and cannot find 13mm nuts, hence the question.
Ta.

Oh and before it's suggested I cant measure across the top of the bolt because I don't have a tape measure to hand.

13mm socket equates to an 8mm thread. The thread size will be M8x1mm

Thumbs Up I can't thank you enough for that quick answer Thumbs Up
I have to have the battery back in tomorrow morning before 10am, so it's off to screwfix at 8am for my M8 nuts.

If in a bind, use one of the nuts that holds the plenum chamber in place (just along left from the pos jump point) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
