How does the ashtray come out

I have dropped a coin down the front of the ashtray and its really annoying me as it catches on the fappy door.
I've tried pulling it out but it won't budge??
Anyone know how it comes out?

it just pulls straight out upwards, i think there are two friction clips either side.. ... - .- -.
