United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black
collected friday, then straight west coast Scotland for7days

hello, after joining site some 6 weeks ago, and getting brilliant advice from members on purchasing/what to look for as a "new FF owner", i picked up my 2006 vogue on 25th sept. I am chuffed with it, luxury and more, some 12 hours after collection we went on a holiday to the Kyles of Bute in west scotland (tighnabruiach to be excact). I was a bit hesitant having never owned anything this big and then driving 400 miles, i had nowt to worry about, a dream to drive and enjoy. Quite surprised managed 30.7 MPG on motorways (dont laugh in only ever go 65 MPH) and 26.9 overall over the full week. Went to brilliant places, and some which would pose problems for anything less than a RR. Ive attached a picture overlooking the kyles of Bute, its something like 650 feet up a mountain.
On returning home, washed, shampoo'd, clayed, detailed and waxed the RR, the missues aint seen me all day LOL.

Anyway just a big thanks to all members who offer advise and help to established and "newbie" members, you really helped me Tone

Shocked You had me worried there for a wee while bud, thought that your picture was of the ffrr, and I thought that it had gone for a closeup of the lock without you Shocked

Glad your enjoying the ffrr experience, it is important to remember the times when it all goes good Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

What a first trip to do in your first FF! There's nothing better then settling into a long trip in a car you've just bought Smile

I did a similar run in the SC at the start of September. We took the ferry from Gourock to Dunoon, then drove to Portavadie via "Argyll's Secret Coast" then took the ferry to Tarbert. It's a stunning route and we were lucky that we had some cracking sunshine the day we did it Smile

I took same picture as you...

I took one of the FF sitting in front of the rocks too Smile

It's certainly a trip we'll be doing again!

Enjoy your new car, hopefully you'll have many enjoyable, trouble free miles in it!
