Power Steering Pump TD6 Pressure Problem

I hope somebody can help me.
We changed the Power Steering Pump on my fathers TD6.
Everything was good. Pump was from LRDirect Allmakes 4x4.
He drove one week without troubles, we put ATF Dexron 3 in it, everything was fine.
Today the pump lost oil over the cap. He went to the local AAA, he checked the car:

"oil is coming out from the cap, there is to much pressure in the system"

anyone a idea or just a faulty pump/cap?

thanks

Ist denn Dexron III vorgeschrieben? Was war denn der Grund bzgl. Pumpentausch? Das Thema besser im blacklandy posten, glaub es mir..... VG, Uli TDV8 4.4 from 2012, 278.000km like new + Lancia Flavia Coupe 1964 + RRS L494 3.0 SDV6 + C220CDI Convertible 2021

I Google-translated that to see what was being said but it came out as absolutely incomprehensible gibberish! Big Cry Hooray for computer translations! (said the now-retired Fr-Eng translator ...) It's "bébéchoon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.
20 years ownership of Solihull products, ALL GONE NOW, sniff!
Current motor: Suzuki S-Cross 4WD auto, 1.4 petrol. Oh so reliable! 5 years now and no problems. Oh, all right then, a leaking shocker replaced under guarantee.

In the Wiki - recommended oil for PS is Texaco Cold Climate PSF 14315 fluid (1.6Litres)

You have Dexron 3? This could be a good place to start your investigation.

Also I would probably have used an OEM or genuine part rather than AllMakes - the stress placed on components by a FFRR is time and again proven to be unreliable on pattern parts Howard

He's asking why you used Dexron 3 which I too wondered about. May not be relevant to your problem but, from the workshop manual, "PAS fluid Use only Texaco Cold Climate PSF 14315 fluid".

Perhaps others use Dexron 3?

ps. SMUTT types faster than me. Very Happy John

I used Dexron because on the new cap was "ATF only".
Cap came today, i will report. Next thing will be to remove the Dexron
if the problem is still there.
