coming clean on Harman Kardon..

I'm not quite an audiophile....but I do like a good bit of hifi and know something of what constitutes an enjoyable listen. I have to say, that whilst there are some quality elements to the Logic 7 sound in the RR.....it's just not a pleasant listen for a lot of music.

Sure there's plenty of bass from the sub for the lowest frequencies.....and a nice presentation thanks to to the in-dash centre speaker. But it all sounds so fragmented...lower midrange has no detail (too high for the sub), vocals lack any warmth or feeling. It sounds like all the constituents parts are there, but not represented in any cohesive meaningful way - despite having some underlying quality present.

....sorry if this reads like a what-hi review.. Yawn but i don't think it can be taken for granted that the audio is a big deal.

over to you.

JJ.

Exactly. Coming from the Premium (non Logic7) Sound System from the Discovery 3 I was surprised how bland the RR one was...

I wonder if it's the speakers or the amp...

If it is the speakers, I'm sure they can be replaced with something better...

Could be the autistic's of the car too...

Logic 7 tries to do stuff with the sound. Just turn it off ...... then you have it not going through a digital masher.... Land Rover Addict
