Where the BT version comes into its own is when you're changing the CCF car config. My voice recognition stopped working and I only got it working again when I could look at the car config on the Ipad screen and see where it needed to be enabled. I had tried many, many times on the dash display and couldn't find it.

Oh and it's even better at showing real time values of the engine, temps, pressures etc etc etc

just pointing out that pixel fade is to be expected on a BMW product, got a feeling that Ford did get that bit right, you don't see any post 2004 pixel fixes out there, or at least I haven't, but then I wasn't looking Mines a BMW car, and you can only read the display on the 7th Sunday of every month.......... about the same time that the Rocking Horse has a dump  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
