Starting the car with the key, disarms the alarm, which is why the dash mounted unlock button worked once you started it.

I talk to mine, buy it little presents, mop it's brow, and compliment it as much as I can....

None of this works of course, but it stops the neighbours talking to me..... Whistle Pete

I shout at mine when the battery is flat, but I know it can't hear me, coz it's dead! Then when I'm driving it, I'm all friendly again!
At least it doesn't argue back!

Oh I absolutely agree Craig, if I insisted on everyone checking one thing today then that would be it. No excuses here, I have known about the issue for donkeys years, I'd planned to remove the lock all together and fit a handle blank but certainly won't be doing that now.

I should have made this a priority.

Happily, it all works with the key.
Thank you, Gentlemen Bow down It's "bébéchoon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.
20 years ownership of Solihull products, ALL GONE NOW, sniff!
Current motor: Suzuki S-Cross 4WD auto, 1.4 petrol. Oh so reliable! 5 years now and no problems. Oh, all right then, a leaking shocker replaced under guarantee.
