AV System completly crazy

Hey Folks

My AV system is completly crazy.

It is working just part time Laughing (what a lazy one)

For example:
In the morning when I go to the trainstation it takes 7-8min, the system does not start. I just have the flashing light/logo

4-5hours later I get back, system is starting up right away and works well. (Sound, bluetooth etc)

Lets say I pass at the shops and turn off the car for 15minutes, after it wont start up again until im home (5-10min)

I already tested if I have water ingress (NO!)
My Bluetooth seems fine (D4 Module from Wiggs)
Battery was replaced like a year ago
Fuses are okay

I did a hardreset already (disconnected the battery and waited almost an hour)
Didnt really help

Any suggestions?
(called the dealership, he suggested maybe some software is corrupt and the whole system would need to reload the software?)

Car is an 2006 FFRR SC (no RSE)

Thanks for your input

Phil

If it's better when it's hot than cold then it is probably a dry joint somewhere causing the problem....

Of course knowing where and what module it's in is the question....!!!!!

Can't see it being software.... but then again it is a Land Rover.....

Do you know anyone else with one, maybe worth swapping bits to narrow it down.... Thumbs Up Pete

It is not really better when its warm I would say..

In my feeling, its kindda stuck in an incorrect shut down process. (Is that even possible) ?

unfotunately nobody around has the same car Sad

thats a little low IIRC for a full charge is it not? Should be at least 12.6v after sitting.

What are the voltages when running? Maybe the alternator is on its way out and not charging properly if its had a new battery recently.

if you can get the touchscreen working then you can monitor it in the hidden menu. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

In the hidden menu? (is this available on the 06 ? ) or you mean the 753? (next time when the system is in a good mood and works, I will try to get in this one to check)

It is working half of the time, it is just incredible slow to wake up and start up.

Will do a test tomorrow to check the battery voltage when running.

so let me report back from the shop..

They tried to do an update for the Audio System (there is a software update by LR)
but one module is blocking it. They couldnt tell me which one.

In their oppinion it was the so called "phone" module.
(it is part of the MOST system but it is not the bluetooth one) said it is located under the front seats.

I have never heard about a MOST Module which is down there.

they quoted me 1.5-2hours of labour to tell me exactly which module it is and probably fix it.

Will order a CTEK MXS 7.0 to charge my battery first Confused

ohh folks.. By the way..
I just opened the trunk to check something. and guess what i saw..

they decided to disconnect the power of the bluetooth module (its the one from the RR2010)
and after telling me one module is blocking the boot up process Laughing Laughing Laughing

I was assuming a LR tech would know that the power of the phone module is not coming over the red light Rolling with laughter

Seems like next time I have to standing there and assist Censored

Update after a week in the shop. They checked out EVERYTHING!
(pics will follow)

Finally they got it down to the Amplifier... they ordred a new one... LR Switzerland said 2 weeks. Censored
By ordering directly from their contact person in GB.. they got it within 3 working days Laughing

Right now, everything works well... System is not crashing anymore when switching from radio to CD or bluetooth... It starts up within 5-10 seconds..
