Have you already got both 7 pin sockets and are they on a genuine LR harness (as opposed to being spliced into the vehicle harness)? If so then swapping to a 13 pin socket should be just plug and play as the car will already have been coded. I think. |

you can tell if the kit is a plug and play, have a look in the boot cubby on the drivers side, if it has the fag packet ecu in it then you have a plug and play kit. Try and find the wiring used as if it has been put in with a towing relay and scotch blocks then it will need taking out carefully.

Especially if he was incredibly short too. The Land-Rover instructions on Topix are slightly more detailed i think. They even detail exactly which tools you need, down to the actual socket sizes https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/v...n.prs72904 its in the accessory fitting instructions just note the picture on the the PF jones site is a generic pic, but you get the actual Land-Rover/Westfalia kit. The instructions in the LR kit are better than the westfalia one, it's what you pay the extra £100 for! |

The OEM is plug and play, I suspect that it sends a nod to the BCM via the K bus and it just changes the settings accordingly Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
