What are standard wheels worth?

Hi,

I've ended up with 3 sets of wheels for my RR, and don't have enough space to store them all. Could anyone advise what the following are worth, as it may sway my decision as to which ones to keep!

1) 20 inch 7 spoke, in avergae/good condition. Fitted with 2 toyo tyres (OK tread depth) and 2 Nankang (good tread depth)

2) 18 inch standard alloys from a 2003. One good tyre, the other 3 are legal but could do with replacing soon.

I have a set of 18's with winter tyres on at the minute which will be staying, along with the set I don't sell.

So, what should I ask for them?

Cheers,
Simon

I've been watching wheels on Ebay and the 20" are going for decent money but normally with good tyres. The 18" and older wheels are quite common and don't seem to fetch much at all. Have a look and see what you think…post Christmas can be a difficult time to sell.

Got any pictures of the 20" wheels and tyres?

Just sold a fair condition 4set of older vogue 7 spokes, I didn't get any bids at £150 for 4 and took an offer of £100 cash. The guy only wanted one. To be honest, I think they needed reconditioning. Pickling around the nut holes, and a couple of chips on a spoke or two.

I brought a set of 18" 5 spokes on the bay of fleas for £65.00 Mr. Green , but that's not the sort of thing that you want to hear Wink The 20" wheels should be up in the £500 + region, depending on the quality of the finish. Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Think the 20's will be up for sale soon then! Here's a few pictures. One wheel has a bit of a scuff, but overall they're in good condition.
