United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Orkney Grey

On the early 4.4’s there was a fault with the mechanism that controls the sequential turbo operation that was fixed with the later models so maybe worth looking into this as well. Hope the seller is offering a substantial discount on the purchase price for this fault as it may be more than just a bit of WD40……… 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Orkney Grey

Hi there
I’ve just stripped all the covers off my 4.4 v8 turbo engine to try to find a faulty turbo actuator which is at the passenger side but I can’t even see the little rascal.
The previous comments have suggested spraying a lubricant on eve pivots to prevent sticking, however there are so many heat shields and covers I’m not sure where to stop.
Amy advice would be gratefully received
Cheers 🍻 Dave (Fisherprice)

The turbo can be seen from underneath.

Look at the nearside airbox. Follow the black plastic pipe down from the airbox to some bellows. The bellows connect to an angled plastic fitting which connects right onto the turbo intake.

It is located behind the air conditioning compressor and inwards slightly.

You can see this location underneath by removing the radiator splash shield and also looking from the track rod end of the wheel. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Cheers Gary I will have another look today. One bonus whilst looking for the east gate actuator is that I found a diesel heater that I was unaware of. Watch this space!
