2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Nara Bronze

Had some egr issues on my sdv8 despite mainly long distance work. All sorted under warranty but I have to admit it would worry me at higher mileages without a warranty. '14.5 SDV8 Nara Bronze for sale

Thanks buddy.

How many miles did you put on your SDV8?

If I'm not mistaken, the EGR can be switched off electronically via a remap?

I'd go for it, although I've only had my V8 a couple of weeks I love it. Very refined Personal choice but I like the V8, it just fits right for me.
Mileage 28 ish
Issues yes, minor hopefully dealer will resolve asap

Good luck

It certainly does in the UK. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Not sure to be honest. It was on 46k miles when I let it go and fairly well behaved until the third year and 30k miles. '14.5 SDV8 Nara Bronze for sale

Test drove an L322 4.4 tdv8 on Monday. Was quite disappointed as I expected a lot more in terms of performance compared to my 4.2sc.

Will maybe have to take one for a longer drive as I only drove it around town

Question how does that, in any way, relate to a question about L405 reliability Rolling Eyes

well, to be fair, every little bit of feedback helps (well, at least to me).

my question was primarily around the reliability of the engine, as we in ZA have poor quality diesel when venturing out of urban areas. Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: http://bit.ly/22l8YHh

You might get something from the 322 section as the later cars have the 4.4 TDV8 which will be very similar.

Another thing that might be useful is to look at the "fuel" section of the owner's handbook for the car you are thinking about through the UK Land Rover website (maybe also findable through Google). I know that some countries don't get the diesels because the local fuel is not suitable. Only Range Rovers since 1988

isn't the SDV8 in the L405 also the same engine? Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: http://bit.ly/22l8YHh

It has different power output, so I assume the management software will be different, and maybe the turbo drain issue of the TDV8 has been solved - I don't know the exact differences, but it is certainly very similar. Only Range Rovers since 1988

FYI the turbo drain problem was not sorted on some of the first vehicles. My first L405 has to have the modification done as there were some carry over engines. Which rather confirms that the engine changes were probably only software related.

thanks Nick, this was what was missing from my post - the L322 I drove had an oil leak between the 2 banks of cylinders.

I was actually wondering whether the L405 also had this issue
