New knocking, clicking noise on TDV8 4.4 2012

My car has started making an intermittent noise, most noticeable at slow speeds. It sounds like the clicking/knocking of a solenoid. It comes from beneath the dashboard, transmission tunnel. It's sounds quite loud and quite substantial, can be subtlety felt through body of car. Everything seems to be working OK and no warning lights. Don't suppose anyone has had anything similar ? Thanks. 2012 4.4TDV8 VSE

Thanks. I will check that out but the noise sounds more mechanical that's something loose. If that's makes sense. 2012 4.4TDV8 VSE

I've just had something similar. Turned out to be a loose backing plate for front offside disc brake. It's rotted through at the mounting bolts. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11
