Leaking windscreen.....:-(

So, I'm driving down the A64 near York and I notice water steadily dripping/running down the windscreen in the upper (it would have to be upper!) right hand side of the windscreen.

On closer inspection there is a rubber fold on the outside of the screen which meets the top edge and whilst this isn't perished at all, I suspect the rain is coming through there when driving at speed.

Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences please?

Many thanks in advance......

See the post I just made on the tailgate glass thread .

The rubber part at the top is around 60usd and a "screen out and refit" around 120usd .

The rubber can be pulled back and silicone squeezed in for a temp fix .
But a new top rubber should be fitted when the screen is resealed .

could be, could also be a blocked sunroof drain or suchlike. The rubbers round the screen aren't the seal and are simply trim strips. The screens are bonded in, with mastic type glue, so unless it was fitted wrong in the first instance then it is unlikely to have sprung a leak!

have a look and see if it is the original screen, (will say Landrover on it in the bottom passenger side corner) or whether it has been replaced at some point. If its original it is less likely that it is leaking through the screen as these don't often get installed wrong in the factory, if its an aftermarket screen then they can be difficult to fit and it really is a 2 man job, so may have been badly fitted at some point in the past.

If you are convinced that its the screen leaking then it may be an idea to drive right behind someone on a newly gritted road.... Whistle There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
