Front near side door, no electrics.

Hi all,
I'm new to the site, but have been visiting regularly since purchasing a 4.4 petrol vogue 6 months ago.
All has been good so far, with the exception of a couple of flat battery issues.
However, this has now turned into a major problem in the last two weeks, which has resulted in having to connect the battery to a trickle charger whenever the car is not being used to keep a charge.
I've ordered a new FInal Stage Resistor which I'm hoping will rectify the power drain, fingers crossed.
I needed to jump start the car yesterday, having not put the battery on charge after a 50 mile journey. Started first turn of the key but have now lost all power to the front passenger door, this includes central locking, electric window, electric mirror/tilt and courtesy light. (Fuses all good)
I'm about to remove the door card to check the connectors, but wondered if this is a fault that's been seen before with a more obvious solution.
Any comments would be much appreciated.

Sure you battery is ok?
You really need to check battery and alternator voltages.

I've checked the voltages and both are as they should be.
Battery is only a couple of months old.

Check the connections between body and door .
Good chance you have/had water ingress or a broken wire in there that was causing your battery drain in the first place

Spent 4 hours today, taking the passenger door apart.
Checked that all connections are good. No sign of any corrosion to the pins and all plugin connectors appear to be pushed all the way home. Gave everything a liberal spray with WD40, but still no sign of anything working. The only thing that does operate is the window switch, but it doesn't work from the drivers door.
During the dismantling process, I did find that behind the panel next to the door jam under the glove box was very wet.
I'm guessing that this could be a blocked drain hole in the sunroof (next job!). The wiring itself didn't appear to be wet.
The wires running through the door jam appear to be in good order, nothing broken and can be moved easily within the rubber sleeve.
With limited electrical knowledge, I'm now at a loss to know what my next step should be.

As this problem appeared immediately after jump starting the car following a totally drained battery, would a visit to the garage and a hook up to a diagnostic reader be worthwhile?
Any input gladly received.

try the drivers door connections.
yes they are connected via a p-bus signal to the passenger door. push each connector in tight with finger force while operating the passenger window switch on the drivers switch pack

my passenger side windows and locking went funny but the fault was a bad connector ( nothing visible) at the drivers switch pack. Fact is is someone has had the drivers door card off and let the card dangle it puts strain on the loom and the connection at drivers switch pack
