Rear light lenses - replaceable separately?

Hi all,

I've managed to smash the clear outer lens on my Driver's side rear lamp cluster Big Cry Big Cry

Seeing as a whole new light is £150+ on ebay, please could someone make my day and tell me that a) the lens can be persuaded to come off and be replaced, and b) said lenses are actually available?

thanks in advance!

Unfortunately they are a complete unit. You could possibly separate the outer lens from the unit and stick a replacement on but the outer lens doesn't come separately. John

apart from commercial vehicles, its unlikely you'll find anything modern that has separate rear light lenses.

Thanks for the offer HGV driver, however I'm not sure I'll be passing Cardiff soon though.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and get a set of the 2010-on twin halo units as an upgrade, I've always liked the look of them.
Anyone know if they are a direct swap, or do I have to Censored with the wiring? NW060

thanks, having had a look I don't think I'll go for that at all!

Now here's a puzzling question - I was a few cars behind another L322 at some lights yesterday, with the pre-tdv8 2-light standard filament units, and when he turned off the bottom of the 2 lights was flashing for the indicator, whilst his tail lights were displaying in the [b]top[b] light - this obviously being the opposite way round to all the others I've seen.

Has he been clever and flipped his lights upside down, or was there a model year with this arrangement? I can't see anyn of the ones below fitting that description, but I definitely know what I saw! (unfortunately, as it was dark I can't say which of the 2002-09 colour arrangements they were)

One way to stop water getting into your lights if they are leaking along the top edge. Thumbs Up
