ENGINE OIL RENEW & TRANSFER BOX OIL

.

Hi

Another service day on one of the FFRR - Thought I would post some useful pictures in case you are:
Changing Engine Oil or Transfer Box Oil

Transfer Box Fill & Drain Plugs pictured below:
NOTE: I Always use on the thread PTFE Plumbers Tape to ensure 100% seal (not too much just 3 clean winds on threads) - REMEMBER use a Torque wrench - Thread Size 16mm = 22Nm or 18mm Thread plug = 28Nm ( Measure You Plugs !!!!!! )
and don't forget fill on level ground and fill till it comes out of filler hole !
KEEP LOADS OF THESE COPPER WASHERS IN YOUR TOOL TRAY - YOU NEED TO USE NEW ONES ALL THE TIME
in case your wondering I change the Transfer oil every 10K - Its thats easy & worth piece of mind

Piece of Kit so useful when changing engine oil.
NOTE: 18 litre version is a must as the FFRR holds 9.5 litres
also note: What comes out - goes in - MEASURE what you take out in measure jar ( then you can't overfill her Thumbs Up

Unit comes with 3 clear tubes as pictured above

1 x tube is an exact fit onto the FFRR Oil Pipe as pictured - just attach - take off the Main Oil Filler cap & suck the oil out - that easy

This is the part in case you want to order one ( I always keep stock in at home - saves time & fuel when working on them - never with parts )

part laid out so you can see - Its 1 complete unit and a Censored to change if you need to

Again - I hope this all helps someone

Keep things coming in - Knowledge is key to everything we do on here Thumbs Up

Yes Ajac the 4.4 TDV8 get drained from the black tube (as seen above) along side the filler cap...

Just to make it clear, the clear drain tube from the engine oil suction machine only needs to fit just inside the black rubber tube end... NOT all the way down the tube to the sump!

We get asked this often!!! Bow down
