Passenger Door Doesn't Always Unlock

The passenger door on my car doesn't always unlock. Sometimes it needs a second or thrid go but it does work in the end.

Having not had the door card off before, can someone tell me if this is more likely to be a stickly or stiff linkage somewhere, or am I looking at a new locking mechanism?

Many thanks

You could try squirting copious amounts of WD 40 down the hole where the pop up button comes through until it runs out of door bottom and keep working the lock.
Mine did the same as yours a few years ago, used WD40 and it has worked ever since.

mine went lazy, i squirted it etc, but still same, took it out, played etc, still lazy, so i bought a secondhand one. it came with a warranty, from a dismantler, so i had returning it as insurance. it was about £60, delivered. fitted, and since then, all ok.

Agree with Craig above, I ignored mine and it ended up locked shut, it is a hell of a job to get it open again then you need a new mechanism anyway Thumbs Up
