L322 / strange electronic issue

Hi all, it's not too late to wish you to enjoy your FFRR in 2016.

Mine has started a strange phenomenon this winter : it's the fifth time in 2 months that at morning departure from cold the gearbox is late to shift so the engine revs higher than normal. When this occurs I can notice the water temperature gauge needle is still full on the left side of the dial after a 3 mn ride. To fix this I simply stop the car and like a computer novice, switch the engine off and restart immediately, the needle then rise to where it should be and the gearbox has a fully normal behavior. This never happened in the evening when l left the work.
Any ideas? What could be the link between a dash instrument and the gearbox management? Current:
- L322 2006 S/C lpg
- RRC 1988 lpg / 287 000 miles
- Stage one 1981
- Lightweight 1976
- 109 SW 1968 under rebuilt

Gone: none

Iirc the box will hold gears longer defendant in temperature .
The engine coolant thermostat is also tested by timing how long it takes the engine to get to temperature *
Mine failed open and I got "check coolant level" messages after about 3 minutes as I recall .

* More like it sets a timer , and if the coolant is not up to temp by the end , it fails .
