Australia

Me the 4.4, because I want an Autobiography and the V6 isn't an option on the Autobiography here in Aus.

Best to drive them both and decide because it's down to personal driving style but pragmatically if you are after an AB there are many more 4.4s to choose from. In SE and Vogue it's a lot more evenly spread. Thumbs Up

They can both be remapped Twisted Evil

http://jemotorworks.co.uk/power-performance-range-rover/

I felt my old 3.6 TDV8 needed a remap - the L405's seem better out of the box, so I haven't had the new one done.

Interesting that the 3.0 in the Sport has more power though.....

4.4 sdv8

just for snobbery though Razz

I had 3 long term courtesy cars last year from the dealer, one was a 4.4 and the other two were 3.0

now truth be told, the 3.0 were smoother running, quieter, and just felt more nimble , but slightly gutless, nothing major though

Why did i buy the 4.4?...its got that extra torque and that v8 rumble, despite being hidden by a diesel chatter..it's still there.

And of course the dynamic response...
Which to be honest, if the 3.0 in SDV6 guise as per the L494 sport , was available in the L405, coupled with dynamic response would be a perfect car.

Sorted a v6 pick it up on Friday all been well. Everyone seems to think that the car is on par with the old 4.4 if it is will just suit me fine coming from the v8 3.6. Fingers crossed.
