It's sometimes not that easy to tell if the leak is coming from the oil cooler or the turbo pipe.

i've at last had a look at the leak and now need expert opinions on whether its the 'o' ring thats leaking and pushing the oil up [arrowed] or the oil cooler above it, what do you think?

It will only take your mechanic son half an hour to change the Orings, so what’s to loose?, change them and see if it stops leaking would be my choice.

it looks very much like top gasket is leaking, and I would replace both once you are at it.

@mike, my thoughts are the same , change the 'o' rings and see if the leak comes back but looking at ninos pics it looks like the oil gasket is the culprit ..

Mike, I was a fashion photographer for few years while living in Chicago (1980-1999), Pay was so so but the other benefits were great .

How big a job is it to remove the inlet manifold and change the oil/water heat exchanger?
