United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Buckingham Blue
Newbie with first RR

Bought my first ever RR Last Friday and already so pleased I bought it. Got a 2004 Buckingham Blue 3.0 TD6, I didn't believe a car could be so comfortable and so nice to drive. I have a couple of things I'd like to do to it;

handles need refurbing, side vents want changing, grill on the bonnet could do with either replacing or re painting, going to de badge the horrible silver writing and replace it with gloss black "Range Rover", "Vogue" & "Supercharged". They will be my first! Then looking to move to the inside; upgrade to touch screen android nav, get all the dash piano black and maybe look at re trimming the interior? Would also like the boot seat upgrade eventually. I understand I probably could of spend a bit more and got one closer to what I want but I want to make it my own.

Will keep updated with pics!

.'my first Range Rover...'

That's the spirit.. Once bitten, you are poisoned by them, so your next car, will be your second, and it goes on from there.

There's no cure you know!
Have you done the decent thing, and checked all your fluids, and operations of 'gadgets' and have no mechanical issues. .
Just be sure you are looking over the stuff like engine and gearbox, and suspension issues...for anything you don't think is quite right. Maybe consider a few other things, Before you pull all the trims off. I'm not saying this is a problem area or anything. But be sure you are happy with your purchase, and nothing is lurking....before busting the piggy bank.
Hope I'm not sounding like an old 'Dad'
But yes, they are very nice. Mine is old and high mileage, but I still think it's like a 'new car! It drives so well. And it's a nice colour too.

It's looks (slightly) the odd one out in your Mercedes collection

Nice FF, love the colour, not convinced on the black wheels but that's because I'm old, not as old as John but getting there....

You will have a silly grin on your face whilst driving it, this is normal...

Get the gearbox oil and filter changed (with the correct fluid not an equivalent) I'm sure you will have read the GM box is the achilles heal of the TD6...

Enjoy... Thumbs Up Pete

Definately not the last! Thanks for the good words, its certainly no ordinary car.

I've done some checks on the gearbox but I'm not the best with cars so it shall be going to a mechanic for a once over imminently!
