Fitted a new servotronic valve first - made no difference - internal rack seals must have been passing.

So I've now got a spare servotronic valve to go with the non working FBH currently on workbench

Not overimpressed with a 5 year old 60k car needing a new rack or the supposedly high quality Webasto FBH unit.
