DPF full, no problem, but what's that miss fire

I had the warning DPF full come up the other day. I was about to embark on a 100 mile motorway journey so thought would clear the fault, I set off with the instant miles per gallon showing on the dash, I noticed I was get very low readings, 18mpg 20mpg, I put this down to the DPF regenerating, after about 30 minutes of 70mph driving I got a miss fire for about 4 or 5 seconds. This worried me a bit as I was in the middle lane, the miss fire cleared and I noticed that the instant mpg was back upto what I would expect much higher mpg. I put all this down to the regeneration finishing.
I now think the car has lost a bit low end power, I seem to have to create a lot of revs to get the car upto 30mph.

To cut all this short, has anyone had a miss fire at the end of DPF regeneration?. Experienced any loss of power.
