Air box pipe?

Evening

Am I right in thinking this should be connected to the lid of the air filter box?

I would be grateful if another 3.6 owner could have a look on the rear of the filter box.
Towards the top I found an inlet spout that this hose fits on like a glove.
I've push it on but not 100% sure it should go there.
I've had a droning noise at 2k rpm and last night I was checking for loose hoses and found this one hanging, not connected to anything.

Thumbs Up

Hi Stan, I've been looking everywhere, all over the net, but can't find picture showing the connection.

Thumbs Up

This is an air filter box and you can see the 'spout' on the lid.
I'm hoping my random hose should be pushed on to this.

Yes, that is the correct place for it, around 1/3 way down from the two air pipes with jubilee clips, points to the rear of the vehicle.

Thanks Steve.

Re connecting it seems to have solved a droning noise I was getting at 2k rpm??

I forgot to fit mine after changing the air filter, it was off for a week but I didn't notice any unusual noises, neither did it throw up any fault codes.
