[Wanted] 2004 analogue to digital television conversion kit

Hello all,

New to the forum and just brought myself a 2004 Range Rover vogue, the tv on board I believe is the old analogue style and I need to upgrade it to the new digital service.

I'm wondering if anyone sells this kit at a reasonable price, I'm more than capable of installing myself.

Many thanks.

I guess being 2004 you have the BMW system in which case you need the hybrid tuner from the E39 5 Series / E53 X5 / E83 X3 / 3 series E46 I think.

So if you have no joy on here it might be worth looking at eBay / breakers etc. 2005 Range Rover L322 TD6

Brilliant thanks mate, it's the non touch screen version if that helps in any way? Tried looking everywhere to be honest.

Great, that makes it deffo the BMW system. Should be a straight swap for the analogue unit.

You will find that digital TV is pretty much all or nothing. When it works it's great but when the signal drops it just freezes and blanks - no gentle roll off like the old analogue system.

Remember that as standard the system does not allow viewing whilst the car is in motion for legal reasons. It can be over ridden using 3rd part software if it's accessible through the iBus like the BMW native install. 2005 Range Rover L322 TD6

If you do an eBay search for 'BMW hybrid tv tuner' or 'digital tv' you'll find some. They are usually £250 to £350 ish. Be careful and don't be tempted by cheap ones; they'll be analogue like your tuner but the sellers might not make that clear....

I'm selling all my ICE from my vogue as I'm changing over to android
i had my analogue tuner converted to digital by Baris for £339, I'm selling the unit ready to bolt right in and work for £250

this is the stage 2 conversion so all your steering wheel controls will work with it too, otherwise you'd have to use a separate remote control.

cheers.

ps also got mk4 sat nav dvd unit with 2015 genuine sat nav disc set, upgraded bm54 stage 2 amp conversion also by baris.

It's not the original BMW version. I reckon it's an additional 'box' which plugs into the analogue system. May work better if it is using additional aerials. 2005 Range Rover L322 TD6
