Tdv8 3.6 egr cooler valve thingymaboby to keep or ditch?

Removed the egrs and one of the cooler valves popped apart (for want of a technical description and function) Ditch it all together Or do I need to replace it?

Cheers Paul

Paul.
They are small thermostats and usually clip in place. That one in the picture looks a bit cruddy compared to how mine looked.
If the whole item has broken, I would suggest replacing it.
Part number: LR006115, around 9 of our pounds.
