right rear mudflap

My right hand rear mudflap has come loose from the body work up near the top just behind the wheel arch.
It looks as if its been glued into place.

What type of adhesive is used to put it back onto the body work.

I'll have to take it off and clean the old gunk off before I reattach it.

Pics attached.

Thanks

If you have to glue it back then a polyurethane flexible adhesive (PU flex) is the best thing to use, it is the suff that the manufacturers use to stick most of the car together with now a days.

Your looking for something like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sikaflex-227-po...XQfRdR5io9

when you get covered in the stuff, and you will Shocked , acetone (nail polish remover) or White Spirits will be your best friend Wink

You'll need to hold the mudflap in place for about 24 hours to allow the glue to dry, unless you can find a friendly windscreen chap as their version drys in a few hours Thumbs Up

Oh and it comes in black, white and grey.... and it's over-paint-able when it's dry. Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Cam-Tech-Craig, Its got a bolt through the top, but its on the arch, this is just behind it on the body.

Miggit, Thanks, I'll have to see a friendly windscreen chap then as its used as the main transport.

cheers
