I would take it to kwik fit first and get them to do a test on the battery.
It could be fine. Mines on its first battery and is nearly 5 years old.

If it ain't broke and all that.

If its fine then leave it.

Yup, got the FBH running at weekend using remote. Fifteen mins trial run, starts ok. Let it run for half hour, not a chance...dead man's click like you said before. New battery to be ordered next......

This is pretty much exactly what happened to mine - I usually run the FBH for 15 mins and its ok. Last Wed I ran the FBH for 30 mins because it was -3 outside and the car wouldnt start

To rectify, I have picked up a Bosch S5 (110AH/920CCA) from Euro Car Parts for £100 (used ukpas25 discount code for 25% off)

I did notice that when the whether got colder, after starting I was losing my chosen dispaly option on the dash (time)

After jump starting and taking her for a long run to fully charge the battery, I didnt use the FBH next morning (or any morning since the jump start) the car started ok but didnt lose the clock display

Could the loss of your chosen display option be an early warning sign of the battery running out of juice? 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

I get intermittent appearance of the digital time on the dash, how do you set it ?
I also had 'dead mans click' after leaving the FBH on for 30 mins.

Thanks very much.
I am very pleased i found this Forum.
Went out and bought a Bosch 110Ah battery this afternoon from ECP, used the discount code and got it for £99 as opposed to £133.
Just reading about how to fit it Shocked
Brilliant site, thanks.
