Sell or Upgrade my IID?

Hi,

Have non Bluetooth IID tool which was for our 2007, L322. Used it to good effect on that car a number of times.

Now have a 2012MY and that IID tool is not compatible with 2010MY onwards.

GAP offered me an upgrade. Trade in ours for £180.

Just can't see me using an IID tool on the current car in the near future but who knows!

So...

1. Trade in my IID or sell it on?

2. What am I going to use the IID for on the current car?

Thoughts welcome.

Thanks.

Thumbs Up

A BT IID will always be in demand, and much easier to sell on, should the need ever arise Thumbs Up

Trade it in for a BT. Getting rid of it is a guarenteed way to ensure you will need it. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

+1 Eugene,
NEVER sell a good tool, get it upgraded as you'll regret it the first time it's needed and it's not there.

I have loads of old tools, bits and bobs in a whole host of toolboxes, even got old stuff from my old cars, computers, you name it, it'll probably be in my garage...will it ever come in useful, only time will tell, but wouldn't get rid of any of it.

I had the hawkey for my old 2005 322
When I bought my 2010 I had the same dilemma! It sat in the garage for a year as bearmach wanted - guess what £180.00 + vat to upgrade it!
I let it gather a bit more dust and sold it on fleabay for a handsome nearly new price???
I was going to put the proceeds towards a gap but my car has been so reliable I've not need one yet!

Have I spoke too soon?? Big Cry Big Cry
