Engine Undertray TD6

Evening All.

When carrying out a oil change a couple of weeks ago, I thought I read that the first thing to remove is the engine undertray to gain access to the sump plug. On reflection, I think the only place I read this was the Wiki that RRUK did which clearly states he removed the 6 bolts holding the under tray on with first.

I've re-read the RAVE manual and that doesn't mention an under tray at all.

My old man who did own a TD6 had an undertray on his so naturally I thought ours was missing and after a bit of discussion with Duckworth Dan, ordered what I thought was the right part - which when received is the front undertray - not the bit that covers the sump plug etc.

So, could anyone confirm if they definitely do have this undertray or not, and could you also confirm if this ebay item is what it looks like:

Cheers in advance

I do not have the rear undertray on my TD6 (MY02) - think there was only one fitted to the petrols. Not had to remove the front undertray to change the oil.

The eBay listing is for one of the rear undertrays (RHR) that covers up and protects the fuel tanks pipes and cables so you shouldn't need that! .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

+1 joe90, no undertray on mine either, so nothing needs to be undone to change your oil.
Thumbs Up

strange, Ive just posted about the same part on a TD6. Cant say if mine looks like that as its still on the car at the moment and its raining at present, I've got a 2003 TD6 and shes got one on, and its currently preventing the 10mm spanner I dropped an hour ago from making it to the ground for me to retrieve Embarassed

My 2006 TD6 has said undertray that needs to be removed to drain the sump but I'm sure it only has 4 screws securing it.
