iPod in 13 plate Vogue SE

Hi All,
this is my first post so please be gentle!
I have just purchased a 2013/13 Vogue SE SDV8 and I note that the iPod connection is now USB and/or mini-jack. My old iPod Classic (30-pin) cable doesn't seem to connect well and I have a newer iPod that is a lightning connection....do I still need a split USB & Jack plug cable....or just a lightning to usb for this?
Hope someone can advise, can't see anything specific in the manual...just says, 'connect it'!

Try a different cable ?

I use an old 160Gb iPod classic in mine Thumbs Up

I bought a short cable off eBay to make it easier, but it works OK

Mine works off just the USB cable - I assume it's the same for lightning, but haven't tried it.

Thanks Alistair, will try both....my iPod classic is the bigger memory so would prefer that one to work....but either is fine!

tbh i only tried the 30pin-usb as that was my preferred iPod; can't imagine the lightning one would work any differently though. Very Happy
