5.0 eight or six speed box

Did the 2011/12 final models upgrade to the 8 speed box as the tdv8s did? With the round gear selector. There is an 11 plate on ph, but it looks like it has the older gear level. Not sure about colour either (Prussian blue).

I don't think the 5.0v8 changed to the 8 speed until the L405. I don't know why LR changed transmissions for the 4.4 tdv8 but not the 5.0 v8. ______________________________
