Remote Central Locking!?

A new day, a new problem! This time it is my remote central locking.

The problem is that the 'lock' button on my keys does not work. All other buttons do... I striped the key down and cleaned it. Still no luck, all other buttons are still working! Is it worth trying to replace the battery? I can see the red LED flash when i press lock but no action.

If anyone has had a similar problem or might know where to start looking it would be much appreciated!

Am i being paranoid that it may be something to do with me removing the door card the other day in the rain to access the door handle cable?

Thanks in advance...

Might be worth popping the door card off again just to make sure all connectors are present and correct? Also try to lock the car when the door card is off. I seem to recall a problem when re-fitting mine, it tried to lock but kept bouncing back up untill I refitted the door card squarely.
