Whether you use it or not when it comes to your mot and the tester comes to apply it and it's siezed you may have a problem???

And unless they have wriggled out of it very recently any MOT failure is covered by the LR warranty .This so has to be covered . 2008 MY Supercharged

Well took Dom's advice i have contacted LR Customer services and they have said they will look into it ...

Another thing that maybe someone more enlightened than me on this matter is ....

The car was parked on my daughters driveway nose in , now when the AA guy came out he couldn't even release the handbrake using the emergency cable that is underneath the centre console when he took it apart .... so the car wouldn't even move at all so he told me ...

So how would the LR tow truck get the vehicle out as it would need to be dragged from the rear end out onto the road before he would be able to get it on the truck ??

Even if they lifted the rear end would they have been able to pull it out that way ??

As the car was at my daughters when it got lifted i have no idea what they did it ....

It never got lifted by any HIAB type truck as my daughter said it was a flatbed lorry

If ther rear is lifted and it's taken out of park, then it would be free to roll. Thumbs Up

The EPB release can require an extraordinary amount of force - there was an episode on Disco3 where one guy was rather discontented with the advice given, in good faith, to pull like Censored , which had, unfortunately, resulted in a snapped cable. Physical violence was threatened... Laughing

I agree with Dom, it should be covered under warranty, but do bear in mind the fix if you can't get anywhere. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Try the fix first. In fact, you could get Mikey to do it. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I hope she trims it first, or are LR Service Managers an unfussy bunch? Very Happy Si. <This is my name.

Scotland 2006 Range Rover HSE Td6 Bonatti Grey

Funny thing happened yesterday - (not!) I was pulling away from a junction and there was a big bang from the rear and the FF stopped , no drive no gears.. ( I wont go off topic with what happened ) but I was chatting to the nice recovery chap and asked him what would have happened if the gearbox had locked up the drivetrain. He said that they have low friction pads they put under the wheels and drag the car onto the recovery truck.

So no lift required although i don't think I would have liked to see it been dragged !!

Cheers

Simon
