Tdv8 not starting after alternator change.

Our 2007 3.6 tdv8 had an alternator fitted while away from home by a reasonable garage but not a LR specialist.
After fitting it wouldn't start, lots of error codes etc.
After finally getting it recovered home and investigating I am getting nowhere myself either!
It turns over fine, coughs and tried to fire but never gets to running. Battery fairly new and well charged.
Looked at it with Snap on Solus kit, after all the usual voltage battery been off faults cleared, no more faults showing.
Bought the Gap IID BT, quite impressive, main fault it keeps showing after trying to start it is immobiliser B1101-73(28 ) comfort relay, actuator is stuck closed.
I have no idea even what the comfort relay for the immobiliser is! Everything else looks ok, when you put the key near the ignition barrel you can hear the noise behind so I am sure the transponder is working.
Fuel pressure is showing on the fuel rail.
Getting stuck now for ideas - help!
Cheers
Steve.

Any help? not quite the same symptoms but a new starter sorted it...

Maybe worth asking Pat at Gap, they are very helpful with diagnosing from unusual fault codes... Thumbs Up Pete

That's great ta, Well that explains the comfort relay, maybe a spurious fault then I guess as the starter looks like it is working fine.
