Tyre changing fun & TPMS after changing S/C 20" for

First thanks to Nigel (NBunney) for the 19" wheels, they're top notch condition Smile

I put the Rangie up on the front jack point and found I could get it up enough for both wheels to go in the air so decided to remove the rear wheel and swap that first.... uh-oh, wheel came off but new one wouldn't go on , then the old one wouldn't either - somehow the suspension had dropped a bit more so I was now left with a car jacked up in the air and me being unable to get a wheel on!!! I'm sure if I'd read the manual it would say something about not attempting it Smile

Luckily the friendly independent garage round the corner had a car jack and came round to jack it form the rear...phew!!!

So.. now they're on there's a problem - the TPMS is coming up with an error.... I'm assuming it's because there aren't sensors for the wheels I've changed so can I turn it off?

Don't think you can turn TPMS off.
Yes it's annoying.

TO INITALISE THE TPM SYSTEM, TURN IGNITION KEY TO POSITION '11'. DEPRESS AND HOLD TPM BUTTON, UNTIL 'SET TYRE PRESSURE' MESSAGE APPEARS ON THE INSTRUMENT PACK MESSAGE CENTRE [APPROX 4 SECONDS] .THE SYSTEM IS NOW INITIALISED. ... - .- -.

Or some black masking tape over the warning light?

Dave

Glad they are OK for you. Thumbs Up

Sorry to say, if you have a face lift,
then you will have to live with it, unless you fancy a trip to the stealer, or want to spend more dosh to put some TPMS valves in.

You do get used to it, well I did.
