Ever had water ingress in the tailgate?

Hi All,

Just checking if anyone has the same issue as me? Since new I noticed that after a heavy downpour I was getting water leaking from a hole in the upper tailgate (the hole has a rubber seal mounting point which I pulled out for the purpose of this photo, there is one at each end of the tailgate)

It only really caught my attention as a few years ago I had a RRS and the tailgate stopped working at 3yrs old (luckily extended warranty), turns out water was getting inside and it corroded the boot release mechanism.

The car is going in for a few niggles, dealer says there is no TSB for this so have asked LR for some advice. The screen is bonded so water should not really be getting in. Just thought I would raise awareness on here so you could check for the same.

Yes mine (2015) did exactly the same and took it back to dealer who agreed when they water tested it. They then had it in for a couple of days stripped it all down and now does not happen.
