ibus interface possible usefull program

ive just insalled mine and have been looking around navcoder and after doing a bit of reading have stumbled across navtweek there seams a lot of talk about it on m5 board my question is could this be used on the rangerovers im not a computer genious of any sort but wondered if anyone else has any opinion on this
or am i completely missing something here ?

Isn't it for edditing the computers firmware? Also every time you want to make a change you have to burn a new cd and load a fresh image?

There's not a lot you cant do with NavCoder.

i no very little about both tbh i have only seen the display messages been changed




i have just purchaced the full navcoder and think some of the functions of that are beyond me

Dan is right - navtweak is for editing the nav's fw. You'll need it if you want to change the splash screen to LR or something RR related rather than BMW when using the latest fw in a MKIII or MKIV nav unit (The MKIII's can only run up to v29 properly, apparently).

You can also use it to add detail to the images:


NavCoder is simply for making changes to - or monitoring - the car's settings for many items on the ibus: allowing TV on the move, changing settings on the LCM, etc.

Awaiting delivery of my ibus interface just need to trace the correct wire to make ibus connection do you happen to know it ,need it to enable in motion following digital tv upgrade
