L322 rear brake disc size please.

Evening all. My Mrs was driving around withe the hand brake up Crying or Very sad
Put it this way they like an inferno,( the rear disc's ).

I got home and wated some time for it to cool down. So obviously I had to re-adjust the adjuster for the brakes.
To be honest it did not make much difference. I had only changed the brake Shoe's about 4/5 weeks ago.

I think the disc's will need changing as the heat probably expanded the mating surface.
I have solid rear disc's and was thinking to get vented disc's to replace.

Can someone confirm the disc size on rear please. Plus do you recon I will need new shoe's

I've done this, although on my newly restored Mustang. Had smoke pouring out of the rear wheel drums. Very embarrassing, not to mention rather annoying. Rolling Eyes Neutral

Still...

The reason I say this is that mine is fine. No warping or vibration and all seems to be operating normally.

So check to see if you've any problems first. Vibration, or ineffective rear brakes would be obvious clues. I'm unsure if your model has the inboard drum for the handbrake or not.

It's worth checking first before you commit your wallet to the situation. Si. <This is my name.

I had checked it this morning and I think I've had a narrow escape to be honest. Just extra cost I could had done without. On the bright side I need 2 new rear tyres.
Rear right has abnormal wear on inside shoulder. Rear left needs replacing as well. So that defo is on the agenda as well as a 4 wheel alignment.

Cheers Stacker for that info.

No worries, in all honesty I think you'll be ok! My handbrake has never been effective unless on the top click, I never really use it anyway ;P that's after new discs and shoes, I guess the next step is cables but they're a nightmare to do!!!
