Hi Guys
Asking on behalf of a friend who isn't a member on here.
He has a 2014 RR L405 and has developed some sort of an issue and as a result he changed the gearbox for a s/h one . The only problem is that the s/h box he has put in wont communicate to the car as the TCM cant recognise the vin as the box is from a donor vehicle.
Just wondering if there is anyone who can re-program the TCM to his vin ?

any feedback much appreciated and I will forward on your comments

Contact Davis Performance at Annandale or Graeme Cooper in Sydney. Also ZF in Blacktown should be able to transfer the original TCM data to the replacement box as they did that when rebuilding my D4's box.

The mechatronic unit from the original box could be swapped unless the old box had developed a problem with the valve body making that undesireable.

If it's on a 2014 car, is there any reason iwhy the gearbox fault is not covered under manufacturers warranty?

Hi guy re gear box would need to be coded with vin write film for the sc hand box to work

Yes dealer would say that as they wouldn't want to code a second hand box if any thing went wrong there or afterwards they would then be seen as liable, you can code it with SDD ONLINE. The reason why it doesn't work is due to the second hand box not having the current vin number stored by this not being saved in the gear box the gate way control module can't talk to the gear box

Only reason would be car was crashed damaged before which is common warranty becomes void, also if it's covered like 100k with over services due
