[Sold] Re-manufactured L322 4.4 V8 ZF 5HP24 transmission

This transmission has been completely stripped, cleaned, checked and re-manufactured using only genuine ZF parts throughout, together with a new OEM (Filtran) filter. The photos below show the actual transmission for sale (serial no. 450185). Full documentation will be supplied showing the clutch clearance measurements and calculations for all six clutch packs, front and rear end float measurements and internal wiring resistance checks.

Transmission fluid included
It is critical to the correct functioning of the shift elements - and particularly the torque converter lock-up clutch - that the correct fluid is used in the ZF 5HP24 transmission. The fluid is ridiculously expensive and so, rather than risk the buyer being tempted to use a cheaper fluid, we are supplying 11 litres of the correct fluid (Mobil ATF LT71141), in un-opened 1 litre bottles, with this transmission. It is a condition of the 1 year warranty that only this fluid is used. Instructions will also be provided detailing the procedure to achieve the correct fluid level. Dry capacity of the transmission is 9.7 litres.

Application
In case people are here visiting from other forums, this transmission is the ‘032’ version of the ZF 5HP24 and will only fit the 4.4 litre V8 version of the Range Rover (L322) with the BMW M62 engine (‘02-’05 model year). It will not fit a BMW X5, nor any other BMW or Jaguar. The Land Rover part number is TGD000190, BMW code ‘UC’.

Torque Converter
The F38 torque converter has been expertly re-manufactured by JPAT who are one of only a handful of official ZF parts suppliers in the UK (http://www.jpat.co.uk/torque_converter_reman.html)

Valve Body
The valve body has been completely stripped, cleaned and checked. All springs are measured and the main pressure valve vacuum tested to check for wear/leakage. A Sonnax replacement valve is fitted if necessary. Finally the valve body assembly is tested and passed-off on a dedicated Hydra-Test valve body test machine.

Delivery
The transmission and fluid weigh 95kg. They will be shipped strapped to a pallet. Alternatively the buyer is welcome to collect during normal working hours from Leyland, Lancashire avoiding the shipping charge. The purchase cost is to buy the transmission outright and it is not necessary for the buyer to supply their old unit in exchange.

Payment
Payment by PayPal or electronic bank transfer, please. The price includes VAT at 20% and a VAT invoice will be supplied.

What isn’t included
It is assumed that the following components will be swapped over from the previous transmission :
• Inhibitor switch (sometimes called the gear position or X-Y switch)
• Selector cable bracket
• Selector lever
• Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor
and so they are not included. If any of these items are required they can be provided at additional cost.

Cost = £1,650 including VAT. Price includes 11 litres of fluid but excludes shipping costs (generally around the £60 mark, depending upon where you live). UK buyers only, please.
