Rear bumper removal?

How do chaps, it's been several years since i last posted (sounds like a confession!) although I'm still a regular lurker.

I recently bit the bullet and bought a new L405, after selling on my L322.

As with all my previous cars I intend to fit a Westfalia removable (swan neck type) tow bar. The latest version is a very simple (15 minute job?) fitting process, and here comes the 'but' ; once you have removed the rear bumper.

Despite numerous searches, and a failed attempt to access TOPix, I cannot find any instruction of removing the bumper.

Any clues greatfully received. Gerry

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Vogue TDV6 Santorini Black

Hi Gerry,

I have the same problem. Did you manage to find any instructions on how to remove the rear bumper or have you figured it out? Also I have a second hand deployable towbar I want to fit but it comes without bolts. I know that I need high tensile but do you know if 8.8 or 10.9 is required?

Many thanks

Richard

Depends on the model year. Early ones don’t have the ability to be coded , just been through this last year. Mines a MY14, I don’t know when they became codeable, it was camtech craig who kindly advised regards this. Might find that thread with a search Thumbs Up

Not sure how to post a pdf file on here, so if you want to pm me your email address, I can email you the pdf for taking the bumper off.

If that is allowed?

Kev.

I did a google search and find a good video of removal.

Seems really straight forward to me. 2008 RRS HST - loved the car from 6 months old until a few years old
2009 Disco HSE - nice and practical alternative when I needed the space.
VW T5 Transporter - mid life crisis perhaps
2017 FFRR 4.4AB - best car I’ve ever owned
