GPS Issue: Not tracking signal

Hi all

I am sorting out the issues with the new car (MY06 S/C) --- the list continues.

Here is the deal:
1. sat nav starts up and functions... ie i can see the menus and interact with them
2. but the 'GPS' logo in the top left is crossed out (meaning no signal)
3. checked all the fuses in the car - all fine
4. tried pulling the fuses out for 10 mins to reset everything. (got a little confused as to which one/s the GPS is related to though --- so might have not pulled the right ones?
5. tried the 'recalibration' in the setup menu of the Nav. Manually set it to my home location, but still no GPS in the top left...

I am going crazy with the number of faults with this thing!

Any thoughts??

cheers

Hi, my 2007 MY tdv8 developed a similar issue where the sat nav lost all comms with the satellites. I tried swapping my nav unit with one from my other car and the issue stayed with the RAnge rover, so anyway to cut a longish story short, it turned out to be the antennae that was faulty and it was replaced under warranty. I would never had thought that the antennae could go faulty, but there you go.

It sounds like the previous owner didn't spend any money on the car. Sad

Good luck

Faulty antennas are common
