Wind noise at speed

Hello all. I've had my 2012 Westminster now for around a month and it's great. I've noticed some wind noise at speed though and after some inspection have found the culprit. On the drivers side the plastic trim around the wing mirror has a slight gap with the door. On the passenger rear door the foremost black vertical trim strip has a gap where it meets the horizontal trim at the top of the door.

The plastic wing mirror trim looks like it needs to be stuck down. Do I remove the whole thing to do this. Any idea how?

The vertical really door trim looks harder to push up into position.

Any bright ideas from the forum please? Thanks

Ps not sure why photos rotate 90 degrees. Sorry!

Had a bad whistle on mine and it took ages to find. Turned out to be the roof trim with the roof rack flaps in it. Wasn't clicked into the clips properly. Worth a look.
Mine wasn't much out but a good push all the way along I felt it click home. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

The roof trim is worth a look. I have roof rails on mine for fitting a roof rack. I don't think I'll ever use a roof rack so would like to remove the roof rails. I'm worried that would leave holes in the trim though. Aren't there some flaps that have to be broken off when the roof rails are fitted? I guess it's not easy to fill the holes once the rails are removed.

i would hazard a guess that the rails are possibly the source of the noise, more so than the gaps in the trim pictured.

When you remove them you will find that the flaps will have been snapped off to fit them. you have to replace the whole trim to replace the flaps, and they come primed so will need painting, but the strips weren't extortionate i seem to recall, as I had to buy a new one when a monkey in Longleat pulled one of mine off......

easy to replace too, clip in. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
