Chirping sound?

Hi all A new annoyance has developed when the car is unlocked from not being used when I unlock and going in there is a chirping from the drivers foot well - it sounds like a bird and it sounds like maybe from the gong... Any ideas on this as it's incredibly annoying - makes noises for around 5 mins then shuts up...

Happens on mine as well, sometimes, but not all the while, sounds like a referees whistle.
Sorry don't know what it is, just a rr thing I think.

The noise is from the flap motor that is behind the side panel in the drivers foot well.

Remove the panel and you will see a round motor with white writing on it, in screw the motor and carefully remove then lock and unlock the car to get the motor to move which should free it up. They get stuck some times and the noise is it slipping on the gears. Then reverse the order to reassembly......problem sorted (hopefully) Thumbs Up

That sounds complicated but then I am attempting the 2010 retrofit this weekend so if that goes ok that's my next diy!

Hi guys this is one diy I've not got round to yet but I noticed while it was chirping for one reason or another I went under the bonnet and it was an even louder version of the sound coming from the ebox - are they linked? Current stable:

Could be, there's a cooling Fan in there, so might need a clean or spray of something.
